My daughter when 27 last year, who is a paediatric ICU nurse, went from having a small ulcer on her tongue in mid January last year to a stage 3 turbo cancer by the end of march resulting in being urgently admitted into hospital for a partial glossectomy (removal of half of her tongue) and the floor of her mouth and removal of almost 80 lymph nodes where the cancer was just starting to spread in her neck followed by 6 weeks of radiation.
